ChainCatcher news, Layer1 public chain Injective announced that the Volan upgrade has successfully run on the Injective testnet and will soon be released on the mainnet.

It is reported that the Volan upgrade will introduce several important features for Injective, including sub-second block times for fast transactions and reduced risks of front-running and MEV attacks; IBC integration for interoperability with the Cosmos ecosystem and other IBC-enabled chains, expanding cross-chain synthesis and innovation possibilities; support for CosmWasm smart contracts, allowing developers to create diverse applications using multiple programming languages; maintaining compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) to lower the barrier for developers migrating applications; and introducing a governance module that enables INJ token holders to participate in the network decision-making process, ensuring Injective's decentralization and community-driven characteristics.

In addition, this upgrade requires a hard fork of the Injective network, meaning all nodes and validators must update their software to the latest version.
