Sotheby's has sold digital artworks worth nearly 35 million dollars this year

ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, the 279-year-old auction house Sotheby's has sold nearly $35 million worth of digital art in 2023. Additionally, Sotheby's sold the NFT "Ringers #879" created by digital artist Dmitri Cherniak for $6.2 million this year, setting the highest fee ever for a digital artwork.

Sotheby's Vice President and Head of Digital Art Michael Bouhanna stated that Sotheby's will focus next year on "supporting creators and enhancing their primary market strategies."
