The game's developers stated that players do not need to pay gas fees or sign transactions while playing on Chromia. My Neighbor Alice does not run on the Chromia mainnet, but rather on a blockchain appnet built for a specific DApp. The Chromia blockchain mainnet will not launch until 2024.
