On December 8, 2023, McLaren Racing, in partnership with its official major partner and global leading Web3 technology company OKX, announced that they will co-host a fan event titled "OKX Web3 and McLaren Present: Taipei Speed Starry Night" on December 14, 2023, at TreasureMax in Taipei.
This will be one of the largest events ever hosted by OKX and McLaren in Taiwan, attracting more fan attention. To commemorate this special moment, a McLaren Artura sports car featuring a specially designed OKX brand livery will be showcased at the event.
The event is expected to attract over 180 leaders from OKX's partners, clients, renowned Web3 projects, traditional financial institutions, local social media influencers, as well as sports car and Web3 enthusiasts. The event will also include various unique highlights, such as showcasing the McLaren F1 team's driver suits and the opportunity to win items signed by McLaren F1 drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. Participants will also have the chance to test their driving skills using an F1 racing simulator at the event.
Matt Dennington, Executive Director of McLaren Racing Partnerships and Accelerator, stated, "We are thrilled to see the F1 fan base growing globally. We are excited to work with OKX to bring fans closer to the sport and our team, and we will continue to inspire and engage our fans through exciting events like this."
Haider Rafique, Chief Marketing Officer of OKX, said, "At the start of this partnership, we committed to injecting superpower into the fan experience, allowing F1 and McLaren fans to learn and experience the limitless possibilities of Web3 in an immersive way. This is one of the final events of the 2023 season and the best way for us to celebrate McLaren's 'monster-like' resurgence this year!"
The "OKX Web3 and McLaren Present: Taipei Speed Starry Night" fan event coincides with the 2023 Taipei Memory Blockchain Week. This is one of the largest industry events in the region and will take place from December 11-16 this year, with OKX as its title sponsor.
