The next step for this proposal is to hold discussions within the Lido community to clarify the standard and the implementation process (including the whitelisting process). If the community supports this proposal early on, the first temperature check will be proposed in January 2024.
xERC20 is an open cross-chain standard (EIP 72816) that provides support for token issuers: managing bridges, setting minting limits, and allowing selected bridges to mint the same token.
