Nigerian police arrest politician Wilfred Bonse for allegedly stealing over $246,000 in cryptocurrency funds
ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has announced the arrest of a politician, Wilfred Bonse, who is suspected of stealing over $246,000 (200 million naira) from the cryptocurrency wallet of Patricia Technologies.
Bonse assisted hackers in laundering $61,000 (50 million naira) from the stolen funds, of which $74,000 (607 million naira) was fraudulently transferred from Patricia Technology's account to his bank account via a cryptocurrency wallet. The investigation is ongoing, and the Nigeria Police Force assures that all individuals involved will be brought to justice.
