Unstoppable Domains CEO refutes claims that the company stole ENS intellectual property
ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, regarding the allegations from the ENS founder that Unstoppable Domains patented the technology of ENS and provided legal grounds for Unstoppable Domains' press release about "committing the patent to the Web3 Domain Alliance," Unstoppable CEO Matthew Gould responded, "Given the ever-changing landscape of the industry, no meaningful forward-looking assurances can be made. In my view, the only solution is to strengthen collaboration and discussion."
Additionally, Gould stated, "We refute the claims that we stole ENS intellectual property. Instead, we patented the technology we built for ourselves and used it in our system, which is different from the system built by ENS."
Gould also mentioned, "The goal of the Web3 Domain Alliance is to help the Web3 domain industry avoid conflicts and set standards. ENS demands that we open-source all our patents, which overlooks the fact that we have extended a hand of collaboration through our non-assertion commitment, which ENS has yet to accept."
