According to ChainCatcher news, as reported by Ming Pao, the list of applicants for virtual asset trading platform licenses from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission shows that there are currently 6 companies applying for virtual asset trading platform licenses. The latest application was submitted by Futu Holdings' wholly-owned subsidiary, Cheetah Trading (Hong Kong) Limited, which submitted its license application this Wednesday (15th). The virtual asset trading platform under it is named PantherTrade.

According to information, PantherTrade previously appointed Chen Zhiwu as a director on September 14. He was the investment director at Huobi Asset Management (Hong Kong) Limited, which later changed its name to New Fire Technology. Chen Zhiwu's term at New Fire Asset Management ended in May 2023 with license number 4. Another director is Hong Yimin. The company submitted its incorporation form on March 7 this year, with the first director being Fang Hangzheng. Information shows that he served at JD Securities Limited from September 2019 to July 2020.
