Base has completed the Canyon hard fork on the Goerli and Sepolia testnets
ChainCatcher news, Layer2 network Base announced on platform X that it has successfully completed the Canyon hard fork on the Goerli and Sepolia testnets. It is reported that Canyon is the next major network upgrade following the Regolith version of the OP Stack. The purpose of the upgrade is to: reduce the volatility of base fees, modify the way the network handles closed channels to improve reliability, allow access to common contracts (create2deployer) across all OP networks, and increase support for Shanghai and Capella.
