ChainCatcher news, according to Bloomberg, Ross Rheingans-Yoo, the head of the FTX charity department recruited by SBF, stated in a court document on Monday that FTX still owes him $275,000 in bonuses. It is reported that FTX had paid him $375,000 about two months before its bankruptcy in November 2022. Earlier this year, FTX's new management accused Rheingans-Yoo of assisting SBF in illegal activities during his tenure at the FTX charity department.

FTX's bankruptcy advisors claim that approximately $71.5 million of customer funds were misappropriated by the FTX-affiliated charity FTX Foundation and the nonprofit organization Latona Bioscience Group led by Rheingans-Yoo. In a sworn statement, Rheingans-Yoo stated, "I do not belong to Bankman-Fried's inner circle; they were aware of and assisted in the misappropriation of FTX customer funds. I am not aware of SBF's fraudulent activities. I did not help or incite him to violate his fiduciary duties to creditors." Rheingans-Yoo indicated that he was hired by SBF in early 2022 to manage Latona Bioscience Group with a base salary of $100,000. Before joining FTX, Rheingans-Yoo worked as a trader at Jane Street, where SBF also had previously worked.
