Bit Jungle: Poloniex may face a professional APT attack
ChainCatcher news, the blockchain security company Bit Jungle stated on social media that the Poloniex exchange hacking incident may be a highly professional APT attack, or it could be due to the theft of hot wallet private keys or malicious use of withdrawal interfaces.
Currently, assets such as BTC and XRP have not been further transferred, but the stolen ERC-20 and TRC-20 tokens on the ETH chain and TRON chain are being converted to ETH and TRX main chain coins by hackers through platforms like Uniswap and Sushiswap, and they are very likely to continue transferring and hiding through cross-chain bridges and mixing protocols.
