Factor Capital's first fund has secured a $10 million fundraising commitment and will focus on seed-stage blockchain startups
ChainCatcher news, investment firm Factor Capital Management has announced the launch of its first fund, Factor Venture Capital Fund I, and has secured approximately $10 million in committed capital. Investors in Venture Fund I include executives from GSR Markets, Theta Capital Management, Two Sigma Investments, as well as founders from Multicoin Capital, Lattice Capital, and Cosmos Network.
It is reported that Factor Capital Management was founded by former GSR Markets and Two Sigma Investments executive Jake Dwyer. Factor Venture Capital Fund I aims to invest up to $30 million in seed-stage startups that leverage blockchain technology to solve real-world problems, providing checks ranging from $500,000 to $1 million to outstanding entrepreneurs in the early stages of company development.
