ChainCatcher news, according to the October security incident review analysis released by OKLink of OKChain, the total losses from security incidents across the network in October amounted to approximately $42.81 million, significantly lower than the number of security incidents in September. Among these, the loss from REKT incidents accounted for 39%, with the most severe incident being the $7 million loss caused by the leak of the private key of the Fantom Foundation wallet, which represents about 16.35% of the total losses in October. The second place is held by RugPull incidents, accounting for approximately 25% of the total losses.
In addition, scams and phishing incidents targeting official social media remain active, with a total of 38 occurrences. OKLink reminds users to enhance their community security awareness to avoid unnecessary financial losses.
