ChainCatcher news, the cryptocurrency advocacy organization Coin Center's lawsuit against the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regarding the sanctions on Tornado Cash has been dismissed. The court found that the defendant's motion should be granted, and the plaintiff's motion will be dismissed. The court determined that TORN holders still have indirect beneficial interests in using the core software tools and the entire service, as this increases the value of TORN. The judge also noted that the existence of the DAO and the governance token TORN is sufficient evidence to be considered as having a "substantial" presence that can be sanctioned. Coin Center intends to appeal this decision.
