Coinbase's Q3 trading revenue decreased by 12% compared to the previous quarter, with a net loss of 2 million dollars
ChainCatcher news, Coinbase's revenue for the third quarter was $674.1 million, a decrease of 4.7% quarter-over-quarter and an increase of 14.2% year-over-year, but exceeding analysts' expectations of $650.9 million. The adjusted loss per share for the third quarter was $0.01, better than analysts' forecast of a loss of $0.55 per share. On the other hand, the total trading volume for the third quarter was only $76 billion, below the expected $80.1 billion and down from $92 billion in the previous quarter. The trading revenue for the third quarter was $288.6 million, a 12% decrease from $327 million in the previous quarter.
The net loss for the third quarter was $2 million, compared to a loss of $545 million in the same period last year. Additionally, Coinbase generated $172 million in interest income from USDC stablecoins in the third quarter.
