Kraken will suspend trading of USDT, DAI, WBTC, WETH, and WAXL in Canada

ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, reports that the cryptocurrency exchange Kraken will suspend all trading related to USDT, DAI, WBTC, WETH, and WAXL in Canada based on emails received by multiple clients.

As of November 30, the deposit and trading functions for the aforementioned assets will be halted. Starting December 4, users will no longer be able to withdraw the related assets. From December 5, all remaining related assets will be converted to USD at the real-time market rate and deposited into users' accounts.

A Kraken spokesperson stated via email that the decision to suspend trading of the aforementioned tokens was made after extensive consultations with the CSA and OSC, in light of recent regulatory changes in Canada. Kraken remains "committed to providing an excellent trading experience for Canadian customers."
