Yuga Labs awarded $1.575 million in BAYC trademark infringement case
ChainCatcher news, according to a statement from Yuga Labs, a U.S. district court has ruled that Ryder Ripps and Jeremy Cahen infringed on Yuga Labs' intellectual property. The two have been ordered to cease all sales and marketing, must pay $1.575 million in damages, Yuga's attorney fees, transfer fees, and relinquish related online assets.
Previously reported, in June 2022, Yuga Labs filed a lawsuit against California artist Ryder Ripps and Not Larva Labs founder Jeremy Cahen, accusing them of copying and selling the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) series NFTs (anti-RR/BAYC) and disparaging its original products.
