Arbitrum: Arbitrum Orbit is ready for mainnet deployment
ChainCatcher news, Arbitrum officials stated that after months of development, Arbitrum Orbit is ready for mainnet, and developers can now create custom blockchains using Arbitrum's infrastructure and tools without permission. Arbitrum Orbit uses Rust, C, and C++ to write smart contracts while maintaining full EVM compatibility for Orbit chains. By leveraging the efficiency of WASM, it saves over 10 times the Gas costs in complex cryptographic operations. In the future, Orbit chains can adopt any improvements made to the Arbitrum Nitro technology stack without DAO approval and without permission. This includes features such as permissionless validation, MEV capture, and further cost reductions.
