Parity: Asynchronous support has been deployed on Rococo and Coretime functionality has been launched
ChainCatcher news, according to PolkaWorld, Parity developer Robert Klotzner updated the latest progress on parachain consensus in the Polkadot forum.
Main points include: the on-demand relay chain functionality, known as coretime, has been launched on Rococo; asynchronous support has been deployed to the Rococo testnet; "Agile Coretime" is expected to be introduced on Coretime by the end of this year; and "Agile Coretime" will be implemented on Kusama/Polkadot in Q1/Q2 of 2024.
It is worth mentioning that the deployment of asynchronous support to the Rococo testnet means that parachains can have larger blocks (in terms of execution time), while also allowing them to reduce block time from 12 seconds to 6 seconds. This also reduces latency and doubles throughput.
