ZachXBT: An entity transferred approximately 4,800 BTC from the dark web market and consolidated the funds into a mixer
ChainCatcher news, on social media, blockchain detective ZachXBT stated that an entity transferred approximately 4,800 BTC (worth about $144 million) from the Abraxas dark web market. This dark web market went offline in November 2015 and has been dormant since. The entity aggregated the funds and deposited them into a Bitcoin mixer.
ZachXBT suspects that the operation is linked to the Abraxas administrator, as most of the funds originated during the platform's exit scam. ZachXBT also emphasized that the entity's intention to deposit the funds into the mixer was to mix coins, rather than to sell.
