GrayScale announces the abandonment of all rights to the ETHW token

ChainCatcher message, Grayscale announces on behalf of the shareholders of each product as of the record date at the close of business on September 26, 2022, that they have irrevocably waived all rights to the ETHW (ETHPoW) allocated to such record date shareholders.

Grayscale stated that after thorough review and consultation with product service providers, it was determined that the product custodian does not support ETHPoW tokens and has not developed a trading venue with meaningful liquidity for ETHPoW tokens. Therefore, the rights to acquire and sell ETHPoW tokens cannot be exercised, and Grayscale waives the rights to these assets on behalf of the record date shareholders.

Previously, on September 16 of last year, according to an official announcement, Grayscale stated that its ETHE and GDLC funds passively received approximately 3.1 million ETHW airdrop tokens and will seek to sell these tokens within feasible limits, distributing the net cash proceeds to the relevant shareholders.
