Sichuan Province has issued the "Metaverse Industry Development Action Plan," aiming to create the "China Metaverse Valley."

According to ChainCatcher news, the official website of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology reports that the Sichuan Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology and 16 other departments have jointly issued the "Sichuan Province Metaverse Industry Development Action Plan (2023-2025)." (Hereinafter referred to as the "Action Plan")

The "Action Plan" states that its main goals are to achieve a scale of 250 billion yuan for the province's metaverse-related industries by 2025; to establish a number of key laboratories, engineering (technology) research centers, and manufacturing innovation centers in the metaverse field as innovation carriers, and to create several public service platforms for common technologies; to develop 200 typical application scenarios of the metaverse in industries such as manufacturing, cultural tourism, education, and urban development; to cultivate 15 core leading enterprises in the metaverse sector, 150 "specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative" enterprises in niche fields, and 300 innovative small and medium-sized enterprises. To build a "China Metaverse Valley" with global influence.
