According to ChainCatcher news from the public account of Binzhou Captain, the Public Security Bureau of Zouping City successfully solved a virtual currency theft case involving approximately 300,000 RMB. The victim, Mr. Kong, reported that his virtual currencies (including USDT, ETH, and BNB) stored in his BitKeep wallet suddenly disappeared. After investigation, the police found that Mr. Kong's friend, Mr. Shang, had significant criminal suspicion. Mr. Shang was later confirmed as a suspect and arrested, and all of Mr. Kong's virtual currencies were successfully recovered.
The police remind that virtual currencies, game coins, game equipment, and other virtual properties are also protected by law, and criminal acts such as theft and fraud against such virtual properties will still be subject to legal sanctions.
