Cryptocurrency exchange Luno banned certain UK customers from investing in cryptocurrencies on October 6
ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, Luno's head of public policy Nick Taylor stated that the company plans to block certain UK customers from buying or trading cryptocurrencies on October 6, two days before the new UK cryptocurrency promotion rules take effect. Luno stated that those affected can still sell and withdraw funds, and it is taking a phased approach to reintroduce investment opportunities to its customers.
Nick Taylor mentioned that the UK Financial Conduct Authority's cryptocurrency promotion rules will come into effect on October 8, and therefore, all compliant cryptocurrency companies with UK customers are making some changes to their platforms to comply with the new regulations.
