On September 11, Jeff Ren, partner at OKX Ventures, was invited to attend the Schelling Point conference in Singapore, where he engaged in a dialogue with Azeem Khan from Gitcoin, discussing topics such as community and ecosystem building, and collaboration with Gitcoin.

The Schelling Point conference was co-hosted by Gitcoin, OKX Ventures, BlockBooster, and CollegeDAO, and supported by sponsors including Alchemy Pay, Allinfra, Aki Network, Ethereum Climate Platform, EthSign, OctantApp, Smart Token Labs, and VitaDAO. The conference, specially supported by crypto media Bankless Publishing, covered themes such as open-source technology, the application of blockchain technology in environmental protection, fair funding mechanisms, and how Web3 technology can revolutionize the education sector.

It is noteworthy that although the Schelling Point has been held during various Ethereum conferences for many years, it has never been hosted in Asia before, making this the first Schelling Point held in Asia.

Jeff Ren stated that the development and growth of cryptocurrency and Web3 stem from the community, making community and ecosystem building extremely important and a key focus of OKX Ventures. Currently, both OKX and OKX Ventures are deeply rooted in the developer community, and the importance of community and ecosystem building has been profoundly integrated into their company's philosophy, approach, and mission.

OKX Ventures is committed to supporting a broader Web3 community, crypto builders, and high-quality public goods projects through funding, collaborating with partners to build the Ethereum community. OKX Ventures aims to amplify the voices of Asian builders while also bringing more Ethereum voices and the spirit of Gitcoin to the Asian market, encouraging participation from people of different languages, cultures, and backgrounds.

According to Jeff Ren, OKX Ventures is becoming a proactive industry participant globally through investments, building innovative technologies, and leading industry transformation. OKX Ventures is loyal to the Ethereum community and is steadfastly seeking and funding high-quality projects aimed at addressing issues such as user-friendliness, security, and decentralization. As evidenced by its efforts in supporting Layer2 technologies, it has invested in pioneering projects like Scroll, Starkware, zkSync, and Taiko, turning vision into action.

Additionally, Jeff Ren expressed gratitude to Azeem Khan for representing Gitcoin and traveling from the United States to attend the conference. It is understood that OKX Ventures has previously collaborated with Gitcoin on numerous activities, such as co-hosting two hackathons in San Jose and Hong Kong in April this year, holding an AMA in May to invite people to participate in Gitcoin's funding rounds, and becoming a member of the Gitcoin Guardians Council in August. The two parties are becoming increasingly close, aiming to make efforts and contributions to the industry.
