Web3 music platform Medallion announces it has raised $21.5 million in funding

ChainCatcher news reports that Medallion, a Web3 platform that allows music artists to connect with fans, has raised $21.5 million according to recent SEC filings. The documents indicate that the total amount raised in this offering is $24.2 million, with a total of 51 investors to date.

Medallion was founded in 2020 by Stephen Vallimarescu, Matt Jones, and Derek Davies, and with the previous $9 million seed round funding, it has now raised a total of $30.5 million in equity financing.

According to the crypto data platform RootData, Medallion announced the completion of its $9 million seed round financing last May, led by The Chernin Group, with core team members primarily coming from Uniswap, Instagram, Hearst, Songkick, and Warner Music Group.
