MakerDAO founder: The final phase of Endgame will release a native blockchain NewChain based on the Solana codebase

ChainCatcher news, Maker DAO founder Rune Christensen published an article titled "Exploring the Solana Codebase Fork Based on NewChain." Rune stated that the entire Maker protocol will be restructured in the final phase of Endgame and released on a brand new, independent chain, currently codenamed NewChain.

Rune further stated that the final phase of Endgame is a significant long-term project that may take at least 3 years. The most important reason for using NewChain is that it will allow the ecosystem to quickly and seamlessly recover from the most severe governance attacks or technical failures.

Rune mentioned that the Solana stack is the most likely codebase to be adopted by NewChain. Additionally, the Cosmos codebase is also a backup option.
