ChainCatcher news, according to the official Twitter, Ola has recently supported Poseidon2 hash in its proof system. Compared to the original Poseidon hash, it has achieved a 40%+ performance improvement for provers.

It is reported that Poseidon2 is a new hash algorithm that maintains the same level of security as Poseidon hash while having better zk-friendly characteristics. Since zk-friendly hash algorithms are widely used in Ola's proof system, including private state tree, public state tree, verification process, plonky2 recursive process, etc., after in-depth research on the algorithm and implementation of Poseidon2 hash in the Horizen Labs paper, Ola has officially integrated it into the proof system.

According to official sources, the Ola ZKVM testnet will be launched in early Q4 of this year, and more development details will be announced soon.
