Huangpu Group appoints former JPMorgan executive as Executive Vice Chairman of Singapore Gulf Bank

ChainCatcher news, according to Bloomberg, Singapore's Whampoa Group has appointed former JPMorgan executive Ali Moosa as the Executive Vice Chairman of the digital bank Singapore Gulf Bank located in Bahrain.

Ali Moosa served at JPMorgan for thirty years, with his last position being the Regional Head and Vice Chairman for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Whampoa Group CEO Shawn Chan stated that the new bank will announce more executive appointments in the coming months.

Previously, in May of this year, Bloomberg reported that Singapore's Whampoa Group plans to establish a digital bank in Bahrain by the end of the year, offering banking services as well as digital token trading, custody, and asset management services.
