Zhang Lei introducing the conference preparation status
In 2021, the concept of the Metaverse emerged. The Shenzhen Chain Association held the first Bay Area Metaverse Conference in December of that year, where various sectors expressed their aspirations for the Metaverse.
First Bay Area Metaverse Conference
In 2022, the Metaverse developed rapidly, with digital humans representing a significant trend in Metaverse scenarios. In June, the second conference was held, showcasing the application of the Metaverse in fields such as art, education, healthcare, and tourism.
Second Bay Area Metaverse Conference
By 2023, AIGC exploded. AIGC addressed the core challenge of content scarcity faced by the Metaverse, bringing it to life. The combination of RWA and the Metaverse made RWA rapidly popular, becoming the most valuable wealth code in the Metaverse. AIGC and RWA have become the core engines of current Metaverse development.
In October 2022, Hong Kong announced the establishment of a virtual asset center to encourage the development of blockchain, the Metaverse, and Web 3.0.
To connect Shenzhen and Hong Kong and promote Metaverse development through a "front store and back factory" model, the Hong Kong Blockchain Technology Application Association, in collaboration with the Shenzhen Information Service Industry Blockchain Association and Asia Television, will hold the third Bay Area Metaverse Conference and AIGC, RWA Development Summit Forum on September 16 in Hong Kong at Asia Television.
