Ordinals Developer: Ordinals Still Dominates Bitcoin Network Activity
ChainCatcher news, Ordinals developer Leonidas pointed out early this morning that there were 530,788 Bitcoin transactions in the past 24 hours, of which 450,785 transactions were related to Ordinals.
He stated, "While everyone claims 'Ordinals are dead', they actually account for 84.9% of Bitcoin network activity."
Dune Analytics data supports this trend, showing that on August 20, there were over 400,000 Ordinals inscriptions, while Bitinfocharts indicates that the daily Bitcoin transaction count is around 556,000. This means that currently, over three-quarters of network activity is related to Ordinals from August 20. Industry researcher Eric Wall added that 54% of transactions on the Bitcoin network in the past week were Ordinals.
