ChainCatcher news, an internal Telegram conversation screenshot among Shibarium developers shows that chief developer Shytoshi Kusama revealed the team is unable to recover assets bridged to the Shibarium network.

On-chain detective ZachXBT stated that he has not confirmed whether the assets are truly lost, but noted that the RPC (nodes running critical blockchain client software) has gone down, and described the block explorer Shibarium Scan as very "poor."

Another screenshot shows a Shibarium user encountering technical issues with the block explorer, stating that they are unable to query the bridged balance via RPC.

Community members believe this may indicate a flaw in the cross-chain bridge, with a total locked fund amount close to $2.46 million, including $1.7 million worth of Ethereum and $762,000 worth of Shibarium governance token BONE.

Upon checking the Shibarium Scan block explorer, the Shibarium network resumed block production about 1 hour ago after stopping for 8 hours, and shortly thereafter stopped producing blocks again. Currently, the Shibarium RPC website is inaccessible.
