ChainCatcher news, according to Coinedition, the developers of the meme token FrensTech (FRENS) have been accused of conducting a rug pull by removing liquidity from the project.

According to on-chain expert @UniswapVillain, former Uniswap employee AzFlin is the developer of FRENS. Just hours after deploying the FRENS token, AzFlin used the multi-chain bridge HOP to transfer 14 WETH (approximately $25,800) from the Base network, even selling tokens withdrawn from the liquidity.

AzFlin admits to being the developer and deployer of the FRENS token but denies the rug pull allegations. AzFlin claims that the project's liquidity was locked from the beginning. He only removed liquidity worth 1 ETH, which was provided using funds from his developer wallet.

AzFlin acknowledges that when the market cap of FRENS reached $30,000, he sold tokens. However, he defends his actions by stating that the tokens sold were originally purchased by him to bring liquidity to the project, thus the so-called rug pull is merely FUD.
