Bitcoin mining company Marathon Digital Holdings produced 1,176 BTC in July, a month-on-month increase of 20%
ChainCatcher news, Bitcoin mining company Marathon Digital Holdings reported that it produced 1,176 BTC in July, a month-over-month increase of 20% and a year-over-year increase of 1,527%. This growth is primarily attributed to an increase in operational hash rate and improved uptime. In July, it chose to sell 750 BTC and plans to sell some of its Bitcoin holdings in the future to support monthly operations, manage its finances, and for general corporate purposes. As of August 1, 2023, Marathon holds a total of 12,964 BTC.
Additionally, Marathon increased its operational hash rate by 6% in July, reaching 18.8 EH/s, and its installed hash rate increased by 5%, reaching 22.8 EH/s. Most of the growth came from the completion of facilities in Ellendale, North Dakota, where all six buildings are now fully operational, contributing a total of 7.6 EH/s to the company's operational hash rate.
