ChainCatcher news, Google Play product manager Joseph Mills posted on the Android Developers Forum that the Google Play Store is currently updating its policies to open new avenues for blockchain-based digital content transactions within apps and games, such as injecting fresh vitality into traditional games through user-owned content or enhancing user loyalty with rewards like NFTs.

This policy update requires that any in-app descriptions regarding tokenized digital assets must be clear and transparent. For example, if an app or game sells or allows users to earn tokenized digital assets, developers must explicitly state this in the app.
