Multi-chain yield optimizer Beefy new proposal: Suggest to detach BIFI token from Multichain and redeploy it to Ethereum
ChainCatcher message, the multi-chain yield optimizer Beefy core team recently released an informal ARFC proposal and has opened voting to assess whether to quickly migrate the BIFI token from Multichain. In the proposal, the core team suggests redeploying BIFI on Ethereum and establishing a unified governance pool, while implementing a new bridging solution managed by the DAO to facilitate the bridging of staked mooBIFI tokens.
It is reported that this move is due to a series of severe failures experienced by Beefy's bridging provider Multichain over the past two months, which affected all assets supported by its protocol. In a recent incident, approximately 18,690 BIFI tokens were transferred from Multichain's router to another wallet controlled by Multichain without Beefy's prior knowledge or consent, resulting in a lack of support for the bridged BIFI tokens (i.e., tokens not on the BNB chain).
Current voting results show that 99.67% of votes support the migration, 0.15% oppose the migration, and 0.17% abstain. The voting will end at 2 AM Beijing time on July 15. (Source link)
