Google Play updates its tokenized digital asset policy, allowing the integration of NFTs in apps and games
ChainCatcher news, Google Play updates its policy on tokenized digital assets, allowing developers to integrate digital assets such as NFTs into their apps and games in the app store. Companies that decide to offer the ability to buy, sell, or earn tokenized assets will be required to clearly indicate in the Play Console that there are blockchain-based elements in the application.
Joseph Mills, Group Product Manager at Google Play, stated that this will enable partners to reimagine "traditional games with user-owned content" and enhance "user loyalty" through NFT rewards.
A spokesperson for Google Play revealed that the new feature is expected to undergo its first testing at the end of this summer, with the new policy set to be fully rolled out later this year. (source link)
