ChainCatcher news, according to Venture Beat, the social application Line's U.S. subsidiary Line Next, centered around NFTs, has partnered with Japanese video game company Sega to create a Web3 game for the blockchain gaming platform Game Dosi. Line Next has signed a memorandum of understanding to bring one of Sega's popular games to Game Dosi through IP licensing. Line Next will showcase this new game on the Game Dosi platform and support NFT creation, digital payments, and marketing activities as part of Line Next's initiative to popularize Web3 gaming.

It is reported that on July 7, Bloomberg reported that Sega's co-COO Shuji Utsumi stated that the company is now taking a cautious approach to Web3 and will not use its main game IP for blockchain games, and has paused its own blockchain game development. However, Sega will rely on third parties for Web3 game development and has stated that it will continue to invest in this field.
