DCG: The fraud allegations by Cameron Winklevoss are a publicity stunt aimed at shifting responsibility away from himself and Gemini
ChainCatcher news, Digital Currency Group (DCG) released a tweet responding to the fraud allegations made by Gemini co-founder Cameron Winklevoss, stating, "This is yet another publicity stunt by Cameron Winklevoss aimed at diverting responsibility from himself and the Gemini team operating the Gemini Earn program. Any implication of wrongdoing by DCG or any of its employees is baseless, defamatory, and completely false. From day one, DCG has been committed to reaching an amicable resolution for all parties involved in the Genesis bankruptcy case. For months, DCG's senior leadership has been actively negotiating day and night with representatives of the official unsecured creditors' committee and the special committee to reach an agreement, while Gemini's leadership has been absent or only issuing press statements. To be clear, neither Cameron nor Tyler Winklevoss has participated in any recent meetings. The mediation process is nearing its conclusion, and we expect the Genesis bankruptcy protection case to be resolved soon."
ChainCatcher previously reported that Gemini co-founder Cameron Winklevoss tweeted that Gemini is suing Digital Currency Group (DCG) and its founder and CEO Barry Silbert, accusing them of direct involvement in and execution of fraud. (Source link)
