ChainCatcher news reports that, according to a Crypto.com announcement, Crypto.com’s Global Head of Derivatives Legal, Steve Humenik, has been appointed as a member of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Global Markets Advisory Committee (GMAC) Digital Assets Market Subcommittee. Steve Humenik will focus on providing guidance and advice to GMAC on key issues affecting the integrity and competitiveness of U.S. markets and U.S. companies engaged in global business, such as regulatory challenges in global markets and the cross-border nature of businesses, including the derivatives market; assessing and reporting on international standards through engagement with international policymakers and authorities from other jurisdictions.

Additionally, the subcommittee will explore identifying and assessing key issues and policy recommendations related to the digital assets market, including digital finance and asset tokenization, non-financial activities and Web3, as well as blockchain technology. (Source link)
