According to the "Work Plan," Chengdu will focus on building the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, the Chengdu metropolitan area, and a park city demonstration area that practices new development concepts, among other major strategies. Centered around key tasks such as digital economy, strengthening the chain, and smart Chengdu, it will adhere to the development orientation of "virtual and real integration, digital and physical fusion," seize the development opportunities of the metaverse, promote the implementation of metaverse scenes, and build a metaverse industrial ecosystem through technological breakthroughs, enterprise cultivation, scene applications, and element support, creating a digital industrial cluster with international competitiveness.

In 2023, focusing on the application of metaverse-related technologies and products in industries such as manufacturing, consumption, cultural tourism, and smart cities, Chengdu will create a number of innovative application scenarios that integrate and empower, launch a batch of metaverse scene benchmarks, and initially construct an urban metaverse scene system.
