Circle launches cross-chain transfer protocol CCTP on Arbitrum
ChainCatcher news, Circle announced the launch of the Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) on Arbitrum. CCTP enables USDC to be transferred across chains, destroying tokens on the source chain and minting new tokens on the target chain when users make cross-chain transfers. It is currently live on Ethereum, Avalanche, and Arbitrum. Previously, Circle launched native USDC on Arbitrum on June 8.
Celer Network, Interport Finance, LI.FI, Router Protocol, O3 Labs, Wanchain, Wormhole, and others have supported CCTP. Additionally, Multichain stated that MultiCircle will explore RWA tokenization using CCTP and MPC technology. (source link)
