Bitcoin mining company Riot orders $162.9 million worth of mining machines from MicroBT, planning to start deployment in Q1 2024
According to ChainCatcher news, the official announcement shows that Bitcoin mining company Riot Platforms has ordered 33,280 latest-generation Bitcoin mining machines from Bitcoin miner manufacturer MicroBT, with a total value of $162.9 million, approximately $21.5 per TH.
The agreement stipulates that the new mining machines will be delivered starting in December 2023, with plans to deploy the machines in the first quarter of 2024. Once the 33,280 mining machines are fully deployed by mid-2024, Riot's self-mining hash rate capacity is expected to increase to 20.1 EH/s. Additionally, the agreement includes an option to purchase up to 66,560 additional mining machines under the same terms. (source link)
