The Belgian Financial Services and Markets Authority orders Binance to cease providing cryptocurrency services locally
ChainCatcher news, the Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) of Belgium has ordered Binance to immediately cease offering crypto services in Belgium. The FSMA stated that Binance's provision of exchange services between virtual currencies and fiat currencies, as well as custodial wallet services for non-European Economic Area countries, violates the ban.
A Binance spokesperson responded that they are reviewing the details of the official notice and will continue to comply with obligations with regulators in Belgium and around the world. (CoinDesk)
