Illuminate Financial raises $235 million for its third fund
ChainCatcher news, according to Bloomberg, UK venture capital firm [Illuminate Financial](https://www.rootdata.com/zh/Investors/detail/Illuminate Financial?k=NjM1) has raised $235 million for its third fund, with investors including Bank of New York Mellon Corp. and Euroclear.
It is reported that this fund is Illuminate Financial's largest to date, headquartered in London, and will invest in startups providing technology services to financial institutions. According to Illuminate, existing strategic investors including JPMorgan Chase & Co., Barclays Plc, and Jefferies Financial Group Inc. have also contributed to the new fund.
According to RootData data, Illuminate was founded nine years ago by former TP ICAP Group Plc and Deutsche Bank AG executive Mark Beeston, and has operations in New York and Singapore.
