Bloomberg: Hong Kong regulators have convened banks, crypto platforms, and others this week to discuss issues such as "difficulty in opening accounts" again
ChainCatcher news, according to Bloomberg citing informed sources, Hong Kong financial regulators convened banks, crypto platforms, and other industry participants this Monday to primarily discuss how to address the ongoing challenges faced by crypto companies in opening bank accounts. This is the second meeting since late April where Hong Kong regulators have pushed for greater bank participation in the crypto sector.
Previously reported, in late April this year, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority held a roundtable meeting with the Securities and Futures Commission, engaging with the banking industry and some virtual asset-related institutions for direct communication regarding the "difficulty in opening accounts."
