BlackRock's iShares submits spot Bitcoin ETF application to the SEC

ChainCatcher news, fund management giant BlackRock's iShares has submitted an application for a spot Bitcoin ETF "iShares Bitcoin Trust" to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Coinbase Custody Trust Company is the custodian of the Bitcoin held by the trust, while Bank of New York Mellon is the cash custodian and trustee.

Previous report indicated that insiders revealed BlackRock would submit a Bitcoin ETF application, using Coinbase Custody for pricing. (Source link)
