ChainCatcher news, the open social application Damus based on the Nostr protocol tweeted that it will be removed from the Apple App Store within 14 days. Apple stated that the zaps feature is not allowed on their platform because zaps "may" be used by content creators to sell digital content.

Damus's zaps feature allows users to post and earn Bitcoin or receive Bitcoin tips for their posts. Damus stated that if people cannot freely conduct P2P transactions on their platform, it will have a huge impact on the entire application ecosystem with Lightning Network integration and v4v.
