ChainCatcher news, according to a report by Reuters, bank account records show that Silvergate Bank authorized Binance executive Guangying Chen to operate the bank accounts of Binance.US during 2019 and 2020. According to Binance.US company information, employees of Binance.US had to ask Chen's team to handle payments, even for paying employee salaries.

Binance.US spokesperson Christian Hertenstein stated that since the current CEO Brian Shroder took office at the end of 2021, no one other than Binance.US executives has been able to control or access Binance.US accounts. However, Binance.US's legal head Krishna Juvvadi told Reuters in April that employees of BAM Trading, the operator of Binance.US, have had "exclusive control" since its establishment in 2019. Reuters noted that Christian Hertenstein did not explain why there is a discrepancy in the timelines provided by the two individuals. (source link)
