Sotheby's auctioned rare NFT collectibles from Three Arrows Capital, with a total transaction price of nearly 2.5 million dollars
ChainCatcher news, Sotheby's concluded an auction this Friday for several rare NFTs seized from the bankrupt crypto hedge fund Three Arrows Capital (3AC), bringing in $2,482,850 to offset some of its lost funds. It is reported that Sotheby's referred to the contents of the Grails collection as "one of the most important digital artworks of all time."
The NFTs in this auction round included generative artworks such as Tyler Hobbs' Fidenza #725 and Dmitri Cherniak's Ringers #375. Autoglyph #187 and CryptoPunk #1326, created by Larva Labs, were also included in this auction. The highest-priced NFTs in Grails Series Part 1 were Fidenza #725, estimated to sell for $120,000 to $180,000, and Autoglyph #187, also estimated to sell for $120,000 to $180,000. The NFTs sold for $1,016,000 and $571,500, respectively. (source link)
